INFORMATION FOR PARENTSWe are very happy to hear that your child has expressed an interest in becoming a member of In4merz.
We do not encourage any members to join in4merz without their parent's consent. You will receive a notification email that your child has signed up to our website. It is free to register with us. We’d now like to share with you some of the typical activities they will be asked to involve themselves in to support our artists/brands as they develop their creative abilities via learning marketing skills:
• Joining fan sites and network groups for their favourite artists.
• Participating in online chats in forums, posting blogs, bulletins and comments about the artist related info we share.
• Designing banners, creating online social groups and providing us with feedback so we can improve our site to suit them/their interests.
We encourage street team members to be creative and unleash their promoting skills so we’re happy to accept suggestions on any of the assignments we give out. In4merz.com encourages our members to engage in the promotional activities that they enjoy.
This is an opportunity especially great for students interested in the entertainment industry itself, business/marketing or even those wanting to demonstrate their I.T. skills (for example in web design) as most work will be online based. The experience gained can be reflected in their CVs.
We also work closley with EBP's (Education Business Partners) to conduct career workshops across many schools here in the UK, providing young people who are interested in a career in Public Relations/Marketing with an insight into these industries.
Members who sign up to in4merz.com have the opportunity to write for our online magazine, In4merz Weekly. To view our magazine, click on the link... http://www.in4merz.com/in4merz-mag.html.
Writing for our magazine can assist in developing their written and creative skills. Members who wish to pursue a career in Journalism for instance, can get a helpful start, as our magazine is written for in4merz, by in4merz.
In return for their hard efforts, we will be updating the team with a flow of prizes up for grabs like signed merchandise, CDs and meet and greets with artists. These are awarded to in4merz who win weekly competitions by using their social networking sites to tell their friends about in4merz artists they like/may like.
Our members can choose to participate in weekly competitions to win prizes. They can also engage in daily support of artists via their social networking sites and earn points which can then be traded at our In4merz shop. The items found in the In4merz shop range from artist merchandise to other items like DVD's, stationery etc. There is no mandatory process involved in any of our online activities. Members are not forced to trade in points at the shop. However, to give every in4mer a chance to make the top of our points leaderboard, we refresh points on the 1st of every month.
We hope you agree that this is a fun and productive opportunity. When we receive your child's request for membership, we shall notify you so that we can be assured of your consent. If you disapprove of your child becoming a member please reply accordingly.
Below are some quotes from some in4merz parents below
I have got twins and i closely monitored them when they initially signed up to in4merz as i didn't quite understand what they were getting involved in. Being a music fan myself i really like the concept and understand the method behind the promoting, back in my teens i was a street teamer and earned free entry into gigs by helping bands flyer, put posters up etc. I like the fact that they learn from the site whilst having fun and they have gained new experiences & met new friends. Both of my children have developed their IT skills quickly off the back of the tutorial videos and now create amazing youtube videos that i'm very impressed with. I'll have to get them to teach me next. Andrew Corrigan 24.3.10
I would just like to thank you for a lovely day. The girls really enjoyed themselves, my daughter Alex is still buzzing with excitement today. As a parent we often doubt that opportunities like this are genuine so it was lovely to be proved wrong. You have also inspired Alex and given her an insight and direction in what her future career may be , I have never seen her so animated and full of enthusiasm. - Thank you Francesca o'Hara 23.3.10
What can i say, i have looked over the site and seen what my daughter has been doing to earn points, to be honest she was doing most of it before she even joined in4merz.com as she is a massive disney channel fan, i prefer her doing something productive with her time rather than sitting on other sites talking to friends or being addicted to farmville on facebook, which she also does a lot of!
