'Whip It' is a coming of age movie is a cool chick-flick that is not to be missed!

Drew Barrymore stars and directed this movie, which also stars Ellen Page ('Juno') and Juliette Lewis ('Starsky & Hutch'). The DVD will be released on 16th August and will also be available on Blu-ray.

Bliss Cavendar (played by Ellen Page) is an indie-rock loving girl who faces a battle of will with her mother who wants to Bliss to become a beauty queen. Bliss has other ideas and wants to find her own place in the world without her mother’s influence. She soon finds a women’s Roller Derby club and swaps her tiara for a helmet. Bliss escapes from her small-town misery and controlling mother and finds a new family in her Roller Derby mates... but will she find acceptance from them?!
This film is for those who love easy going movies. ‘Whip it’ is all about women empowerment and the film is filled with lots of attitude and unadulterated fun. The great plot and all-star cast definitely makes 'Whip It' a must see movie this summer!
